MFC2046 Magnetic Field Camera
MRI and NMRNuclear Magnetic Resonance. A resonance phenomenon seen when you irradiate a sample in a magnetic field with an RF field.... More spectroscopy applications require a highly uniformSee homogeneous. More magnetic field, within at most a few ppmParts per million, or 10-6. Bigger than a ppb, but still pretty darn small. More. NMRNuclear Magnetic Resonance. A resonance phenomenon seen when you irradiate a sample in a magnetic field with an RF field.... More is the only magnetic measurement technique capable of providing a field map with that degree of precisionPrecision is how closely multiple measurements will be clustered. Also called reproducibility or repeatability. In everyday speech, often confused with... More.
Introduced 25 years ago, Metrolab’s NMRNuclear Magnetic Resonance. A resonance phenomenon seen when you irradiate a sample in a magnetic field with an RF field.... More Magnetic Field Cameras have revolutionized field mappingThe process of measuring magnetic field intensity at many different points, in order to understand the structure of the field... More for MRI magnets. They reduced acquisition times from hours to minutes, positioning errors to fractions of a millimeter, and they rendered human and driftThe gradual loss of an instrument's accuracy. NMR teslameters drift because their time base drifts; this can be easily checked and... More errors negligible. Now, meet the latest generation NMRNuclear Magnetic Resonance. A resonance phenomenon seen when you irradiate a sample in a magnetic field with an RF field.... More Magnetic Field Camera, the MFC2046! Map any magnet with the New generation of MFC probeThe actual sensor that is placed in the magnetic field. The NMR probe contains the NMR sample; the Hall probe... More arrays.

- Magnetic measurement: advanced NMRNuclear Magnetic Resonance. A resonance phenomenon seen when you irradiate a sample in a magnetic field with an RF field.... More technology can provide resolutionResolution measures the ability of a magnetometer to distinguish ("resolve") two nearly identical field values. Related to precision, but not to... More of 10 ppbParts per billion, or 10-9. 1 ppb is 10-7 % - not very much at all! More (ten parts per billion, or 10-8)
- Mechanical positioning: precisionPrecision is how closely multiple measurements will be clustered. Also called reproducibility or repeatability. In everyday speech, often confused with... More construction yields overall positioning tolerances well under 1 mm
- Measurement speed: dozens of probes means a map takes roughly five minutes.

The MFC “C++ instrument catalog” is available in the download section. For more details, read the documentation available in the “C++ instrument catalog” package.
We are now supporting the MFC3045 system camera in the “C++ instrument catalog”.
Beware, do not use PT2026 SCPI commands when developing new MFC2046 software.
If you need to export data from the instrument, this is possible. Read the MFCToolV10 User’s Manual for more information.
